I love fermented beets, they are so tasty and good for you. Thank you for being so open about fermented beets And I too enjoy reading your posts. Thank you Kirsten , am going to have a spoonful. right now, tastes so good.
I rationalize those limp vegetables going to my chickens or at least the compost is not so bad. But now, I am challenged. I will try more wilted ferments!
That top shelf in your ferments fridge looks like it could give away !!!
Your house description before renos remind me of my first house - renovated in the early 1970’s with, you got it, gold shag carpet (over beautiful 1/4” oak floors), very patterned carpet over the battleship flooring in the kitchen ( if you dropped anything, you would be lucky to find it back), popcorn ceilings, and of course the avocado green range and fridge. I had a happy walk down memory lane.
Ah fun. Thanks for sharing that oh-so-specific-look in your first place. I have to say I do wish there had been lovely wood floors under our carpets...but we did put down some amazing reclaimed local myrtle wood. Hope your well Yvonne!
Sometimes they are the best ones! Mostly not repeatable but sometimes they are so special I spend time to remember what I did and recreate and refine and make an official “recipe.”

🥰 You’re welcome and thank you. Yay for loving fermented beets! Glad you went and dipped in your stash.

Nice! I don’t have chickens but completely see my compost as a good alternative at those moments. Let me know how it goes.

Love the impromptu, leftover-veg ferments!

Sounds like a great way to develop new recipes here in 2025.
Totally—can think of it like a writer uses a prompt.
I so love your posts. ❤️
🥰 Thank you. That makes me happy. I hope you are doing well!!
