That heat. I hope you manage to avoid the fires this season.

Our heat is over now and we're into the wet season. Still hot and humid but nothing like the summer dry, that was nasty. Everything is booming and all our grass is back and everything is growing like mad. I always get overwhelmed but at the back of my mind I have to remember to be thankful for all the life doing what is does.

Stay safe!

Yes to the reminder to be thankful for all that life is doing. I need that when the overwhelm creeps in. Thank you.

Hi Kirsten - so good to have this reminder about fermented foods/drinks and electrolytes and have a recipe too! Good to see Elderberry and Beverley - was worried something had happened. Hope you all stay safe and hydrated on the farm and thanks for another heart-warming health-giving read. Jeannette x

Hi Jeanette, Thank you! After today we are slowly getting to lower temps just in time--I am over it. Hope all is well on your side of the pond. x K

Thank you for the brine-aid recipe. I’m excited to give it a try. Also, Elderberry Is positively adorable in this video.

It’s delicious. I used just a half a cup of honey and included the ginger. I really feel like it helped me to cope with the heat we’ve been having. It’s a winner.

Yay! I love to hear that. I am glad you changed the sweetness to your liking. Less sweetener is perfect for me too. I have a high love of acid and not a big sweet tooth so I never can make a recipe exactly to "my taste."
